“Welcome” initiative was formed in September 2015, when large numbers of refugees began to enter into Croatia. The Initaitive gathers individuals and civil society organizations with the aim to support refugees on the ground, but also to make political pressure on the Croatian and EU institutions to change restrictive migration policies.
The Initiative brings together more than 60 civil society organizations, one football club and more than 400 volunteers who every day on the ground support to refugees – of humanitarian aid, coordination with local organizations, as well as providing information to refugees about the current procedures of entry and exit from the Croatian.
